1. Who we are

DRM Livestock (Pty) Ltd ("DRM Livestock", "we", "us") operates a specialist livestock farm in the eastern region of Johannesburg, South Africa, and this website at www.drmlivestock.co.za. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the site, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

This website does not use a contact form, account system, or analytics tracking at present. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us directly — for example, if you email us at info@drmlivestock.co.za, we receive your email address, name, and whatever else you include in that message.

3. Cookies & third-party content

This site does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. It does load typefaces from Google Fonts (Google LLC) by default, which requires your browser to connect to Google's servers and share technical information such as your IP address. When you first visit, you can choose "Reject non-essential" in the privacy banner to browse with your device's system fonts instead — your choice is remembered for future visits, and you can change it anytime via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer. If we add analytics, forms, or other third-party tools in future, we will update this policy to reflect that.

4. How we use your information

We use any information you send us solely to respond to your enquiry — for example, questions about sourcing, volumes, packaging, or export documentation. We do not use it for marketing without your separate consent, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

5. Legal basis for processing

Where you contact us directly, we process your information on the basis of your consent in initiating that contact, and our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries.

6. Sharing of information

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except where necessary to operate our email and hosting services, or where required by law.

7. Data retention

We retain correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry and for our legitimate business record-keeping, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us, and to object to our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@drmlivestock.co.za.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal information you share with us against loss, unauthorised access, or misuse.

We may update this policy as our website or business practices change. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
